    Great walking experience

Relatively long (about 4 miles long) waterside paved walk. About half of it borders a beach and teh other half a stone breakwater. There are about 6 or 8 very interesting statues that are worth a look. One is of P.T. Barnum who was the mayor when the park was established.

    Go! You won't be disappointed!

We have been attending the Downtown Cabaret theater for 40 years. In fact I met my husband on stage there! It is a wonderful charming venue that puts on professional shows. Go!! You will not regret it. Bring your food and your drinks and make a party out of it with friends!

    Unexpected hidden treasure!

The owner made the experience great! He was very knowledgeable and comes up with very interesting drinks rather than just tasting spirits alone. I highly recommend this experience, and the award winning spirits!

    Park by the Sea

A beautiful park where you can walk, run or bike by the sea. They have plenty of benches to sit and have a bite to eat or just look at the water. Some folks actually fish right of the sidewalk. It is very peaceful and quiet, essentially a neighborhood park. Usually on the weekend of the 4th of July you can also see the fireworks.

    Historic building in Bridgeport, CT

We stopped to see this beautiful building completed in 1893 by Barnum, called The Barnum Museum Institute of Science and History. It was closed for renovations after storm damage in 2010-2012 but we found the door agar and were permitted a sneak peak. The museum now is about the life of P. T. Barnum, who lived here, was the mayor of Bridgeport in 1857 and where he built his “Iranistan” mansion. Inside was a nice model of the big circus tent, his bust and several large elephant photos.
    Great historical stop.

A nice place for a hockey game

attending a AHL hockey game for the Bridgeport Islanders (formerly Sound Tigers ). A very nice arena, that also hosted a few children's parties, polite staff, town police also there within the building. However, the person in charge of panning the crowd to show on the jumbo screen, needs a lesson on not to focus in on young girls who were clearly minors so much, that the crowd had more than just kids there having a nice time. Also a shame they closed the gift shop down prior to the game ending on 3/19/22

    $50 and big spray!

The most expensive lighthouse in the new England area. Rocks could be tricky for some with balance issues. Wear bug spray!!! You could picnic or go to the beach, we didn't. A good stretch after 4 hours in the car.
